Ojai City Watch 8/16/09

FROM: Sgt. Joe Evans

UPDATED 8/16 6:02 p.m.

Wow I guess there is a new Neighborhood Watch Program in town. The neighbors on Bald street have banded together and are in the process of taking control of their neighborhood.
This morning at 9 am, I sent out an alert about a prowler causing problems in the area of Bald street in the City of Ojai. Well within 6 hours the neighbors identified the suspect, found a victim wanting to prosecute and called the police. Deputies arrived and with cooperation of the neighborhood the suspect was arrested and given a court date. This same suspect was recently arrested for indecent exposure, again with the help of some very alert neighbors.
This neighborhood has taken to heart our motto of ” lets catch a crook”. This is a great example of what a neighborhood can do when they work hand and hand with their deputies.
Keep up the good work and keep those crooks coming.

Good morning Watchers

Our friends living in the area of Bald Street in Ojai, are having problems with prowler. There is a man going into the neighborhood backyards early in the mornings. These crimes seem to be happening between midnight and 7 am. If you live in this area and see or hear someone in your yard, please call the police.

When your deputies respond to these types of calls, they respond quicky and normally with two or more cars. This is because they want to get a perimeter around this guy in order to catch him before he leaves the area or returns to his own home.

When your deputies catch this man, we need you to request prosecution for his actions. This is a misdemeanor crime and your request for prosecution is needed.

If you are passing through this area and see any suspicious people walking in the late night and early morning hours, please call us. The more chances we have to contact this person, the more he will want to stay out of the area or at least in his own yard.

If you live in this area you can count on seeing an increase in police patrols. We are also going to increase the amount of probation searches we do in this neighborhood.

Having a prowler in your neighborhood is a bad thing. We all share in the comfort of knowing our families are home at night in a safe environment. When a prowler enters our yard, he violates our families security. As a community we need to let them know this is not going to be tolerated. Having said that, please watch out for your neighbors. If you see something that just does not look right, call us.

We are a very active community and together we will solve this problem.

Thanks for you time and please keep up the good work. Your friend and neighbor, Joe

  1. Nicolaus, try reading the Constitution. There are many, many true American Patriots in Ojai who served in wars… God bless the Second Amendment. SEMPER FI.

  2. Captain Dave, may of us agree with you. I talked to my neighbors and we’re all flying the flag tonight. I encourage others to do the same. Let’s get Patriotism back in Ojai. If these drug dealers want to hurt our town, they are hurting America. Hang the flag y’all.

  3. Captain Dave,
God Bless America … that means to me … The people of America who believe and defend the Constitution of the USA.
Political fascistic thinking white collar criminals who are paying off local decision makers, and at the end whole police departments, are in my opinion the real terror on the American Freedom.

  4. God bless the Ojai Valley Gun Club and its good hearted decent American Patriots. And God bless the Second Amendment! Ojai should have an American Pride day for American Patriots to show their love for their country and demonstrate the fact that the good folks of Ojai will not stand for these gang and drug families.Patriots should start flying Old Glory more outside their homes and on their cars.Let’s show these criminals that we’re proud to be true Americans and that we won’t let their low life behavior change our town! Fly Old Glory and send the message! God Bless America!

  5. Ha ha, thanks Nicolas, it is a lot of work trying to reach everybody, but my message is important and I can’t leave any stone unturned you know? So that includes little old Ojai. What a sweet town! I love these little blogs! No such thing in Alaska, everything here is biiiig including the blogs ha ha. My family means everything to me and everyone contributes and I mean everyone. So don’t be surprised if I show up sometime, after the election I realized I was spoilt from all the sunshine and warm days in Florida and such. My goodness, you Ojains must be doing something right if your sherrif is helping out the way he is and taking such a pro-active part in the community. You must be so proud of Ojai like I am of Wasilla. Its just cold there you know? BRrRrrrrr…

    Well gotta scoot,
    Sarah P

  6. George,

Excellent comment! Your point is well-taken. Since N.S. joined the scene, one this is apparent: N.S. suffers from inferiority complex imposed upon paranoid anxiety.

  7. Hi Sarah,
Welcome to Ojai. I’m sure, that such a family minded person like you is a great addition to Ojai politics.

  8. George Stephanopolis:
Do I still have the freedom to post my thoughts wherever I want or do I need to listen to fascistic bullies who alienating people with opinions different from their own?

I live up to the American Dream, and I mean it. If you feel like it, challenge me with something meaningful! … but don’t tell me where to express my opinion.

  9. Anon.5:
If it would be garbage, then I wouldn’t post it here.

    joe is awesome:
To have a fan club is great but you might need to understand first for who Joe the Friend and Neighbor is working for.

  10. if you have a question for him, call him, he doesn’t read the blog replies. also, he lives here and raised his family here, doesn’t get more local than that.

  11. Time to Expose the Lies:
I believe there is a fine line between a good neighborhood (local) cop and a corrupted cop. Sadly, we have a long history of corrupted cops, even criminal cops (general speaking) and it’s not an easy training to identify this fine line and keep the police officers on the right side. The other related problem is obvious, cops do not talk to each other, when it comes to a critical observation of wrong doing … this would be considered as being a rat. That means, there is no self healing mechanism in the system … therefor cops getting sued once in a while – mostly for a good reason – but what happens at court? There are suddenly “witnesses” and testimonies in favor of the “bad” cop all over the place … when it comes to “internal” investigation there is usually a massive protective wall all the way to the point where a police officer is flat out lying.

Time to Expose the Lies, the problem is within the system, not enough honest counseling, too much involvement with organized crime on top of the command hierarchy … and the sadly snake of corruption.

Many police officers reacting based on assumption, they believe it’s “experience” … for example, buying a red convertible sport car is not fun at all. From this moment on you are a TARGET and you will learn very painfully the meaning of police harassment. This goes all the way to stupidity – when a red sport car is involved in a car accident … for the police officer it’s crystal clear on first hand who was causing the accident … it must have been the red sport car and the investigation is performed with a truth bending tunnel vision.

I can not stress this point enough: Ojai is NOT having a “local” police force. Ojai is a training town for the Ventura County Sheriff with all the pain of inexperienced police officers, many of them equipped with a very questionable ego problem.

Ojai City Watch 8/16/09 FROM: Sgt.Joe Evans
    Dear Sgt. Evans,
I’m questioning your education in criminal & police journalism. Keeping a community informed and scarring a community is a huge difference. You apparently don’t see the difference. I strongly believe your intentions are good but your qualification needs improvement … as we hopefully all know by now, Ojai is a training town …

  12. We are seeing a huge amount of media prioritizing attacks on local cops…WHY?

They want the public to support more federal intervention.

Ask yourself a question, is the tasering of grandma (however insane, repugnant, and criminal) warrant blackwater to be called in to replace your local cops?

Watch out for this, for every cop that tasers grandma, there is a soulless coward in centcom pressing a button that launches a predator housed missile to obliterate 20 families.

These local cops are trying to break out of the matrix and they will be our greatest allies in the infowars.

The sherriff has more authority locally than the president. We need to assist local law enforcement to clean up the local forces so that the NWO has no ground in taking over.

The grandma tasers need to go and the entire taser strategy is an NWO strategy. The cops go through hell for the most part and the feds incentivize local forces to promote the bad apples and get rid of the true law enforcers.

Long term strategy I know, just something to keep in mind. If you look at the movies of the 1980′s they demonized the cops and local police to allow federal takovers of local departments.

They also did this in the 1960′s with the KKK, the Church commission exposed that 25% of the KKK were FBI and FBI assets that pushed local cops to be more ruthless and demonic. Now they are doing igain only to centralize more control.

  13. Why don’t you stop spending so much time on these useless updates and do some patroling – or better yet when you do get a concerned citizen telling you of suspicious activity – do something about it instead of making excuses like we can’t just put a black and white there every night – there are so many drug deals going on in Ojai it’s not even funny anymore – and our police just ignore
