Nature of Incident: Residential Burglar arrested
Location: Ojai Valley
Dates: Between October 1, 2009 to November 10, 2009
Unit Responsible: Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and Ojai Substation

Narrative:
Suspect: Daniel Lee Allen, 22

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department’s Ojai Detectives have been investigating several residential burglaries and grand thefts during the months of October and November in the Ojai Valley.  During the detectives’ investigation, they located/recovered two iPods that had been reported stolen from two different Ojai Valley residents. Detectives discovered the iPods had been pawned at two different pawnshops in Ventura County.

On 11/10/2009, the suspect was identified, located, and arrested.  During the investigation, detectives located several items of stolen property from three residential burglaries and two additional grand thefts. The majority of the stolen property was identified and returned to the victims.

  3. Let’s hope that punk kid Allen gets locked up until he’s 80. What a parasite. Let’s hope the other inmates down at county teach him the lesson he needs. Bet his parents are real proud.

  5. I wonder if this is the punk/puke that stole my camera equipment…something really wrong with a guy that will steal another man’s livelihood. I can only hope this changes the direction of this kids life for the better.

  6. Yes, he stole my ipod as well. He actually went to so much trouble to steal my ipod once, he had to scramble into a small space and open a small window and crawl through that I felt pity for him. Either that or he employs little people for that kind of work.
