M.O. Man Booked After Stabbing
According to Sheriff’s Department reports, 29-year-old Victor Sanchez is being held in the Ventura County Main Jail on suspicion of stabbing Ismael Montelongo, 39, of Mira Monte after the victim suffered a superficial shoulder wound at about 6 p.m. Friday. Sanchez was arrested at a residence in the 200 block of Lomita Avenue after he allegedly stabbed Montelongo at or near the corner of El Roblar Drive and Lomita Avenue. Sanchez was booked for felony assault with a deadly weapon by means likely to cause great bodily injury, with bail set at $20,000. Sanchez is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 1:30 p.m. in Superior Courtroom 13.
I wonder if he will be deported or if he has anchor babies here…

The Star has had this same article up for a while now. It says that there was some kind of fight going on cause Montelongo owed Sanchez money for a dog… pretty dumb reason to stab someone!

my kids grew up in m.o its not changed in 15 years . where have all you people been ? My son had a gun to his head 5 years ago . They start up there own gangs just to be able to walk down the street without being jumped or threatened . And yes as a mother I worry everyday if my son will come home or not . I understand the police have been doing a wonderful job and I thank them for that .They have rolled up on my son and asked what he was up to and he knows they are trying to keep the peace but certain gang members are not letting up and keep and threating the kids. I really think the camera idea is great as we know the police can not be everywhere at one time but this way they can catch them on tape

Is Meiners Oaks incorporated? Is there a governing body for that community? I hope your elected leaders step up to the plate, and get some help in doing so.
I thought this forum was moderated, and that posts designed to incite would be deleted. Apparently not.
Sad to say, most of the comments posted make a really poor enticement to move my business to the Ojai area, which was in my business plan. They just smack of quiet desperation, they reek of dissatisfaction and impotence, and sorry but IGNORANCE.
My Grandparents came here from Mexico, became citizens and educated themselves and their 5 children They ran businesses. I am a 58 year old business woman who has personally worked since she was 15. I married at 19 and my children and grandchildren are proud to be of Mexican descent. We were raised with dignity, and respect. We own our own homes, our children go to college and run our own businesses.
I never realized how much discrimination and pure racism there was in the Ojai community until I started reading this blog. Such a disparity between people whose hearts beat and bleed the same, and who want good for their children.
Drugs and violence are never acceptable in any culture, but outright hatred and disdain is what I’m feeling here…who knew? Sounds like you’ve all just given up, and should move! But guess what… wherever you go, there you’ll be, again!

Drugs do cause some horrible things, but ALL the drugs put together don’t even come close to match all the disgusting and despicable things people do on a daily basis for money.
Money is the motive behind most violent crimes.
I find it hilarious the reactions here it was over money and a dog and this post has mutated into a racial free for all.
God help you all if you ever get trapped in a paper bag.
