The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department’s Ojai Detectives concluded an investigation into a commercial burglary and vandalism that occurred at Nordhoff High School between the evening of February 20, 2010 and the morning of February 21, 2010. Deputies initially responded to the school reference a flag that had been stolen from a local Jewish camp and was found flying from the football stadium flagpole at Nordhoff High School. When Deputies arrived to investigate the stolen flag incident, they found that the suspects had forced entry into two snack bars in the area of the football stadium, the announcer’s box above the bleachers in the stadium, a metal storage container and the girl’s locker room. The deputies also found that the school’s pool and marching band equipment truck had been vandalized and a swastika had been painted on the asphalt of the southwest parking lot.
During the investigation four suspects were identified and property stolen during the incident was recovered. The suspects were ultimately arrested for 459P.C. – Commercial Burglary, 594(b)(1) P.C. – Vandalism over $400.00, and 484(a) P.C. – Petty Theft. Three of the four suspects were juveniles. Based on the investigation a hate crime could not be established.

Guess no one wants to comment since you can’t blame it on the hispanics this time?

I’d say let’s blame it on the Irish but, there’s three more people that are unaccounted for. The forum is wide open.

I like the idea from a commenter in the VC Star, “require them to attend and report back on a day tour of the Museum of Tolerance.” Make it part of the “Probation” they will no doubt be sentenced to. Morons don’t necessarily have to remain so!!
Oh and “Boys, can you say restitution?” I knew you could, require that as well!

How is it possible that hate crimes were not established?
I am sick and tired of punks idealizing the hatred spread by the inbreeded psychopath.
If I was Jewish and saw that the swastika on my property, I think it would be obvious the intention was fear and hate.

Does anyone ever question what the swastika really represents? It is not what Has been sold to you.
Named from the Sanskrit “so be it” or “amen” the swatika has been a religious emblem of worlwide occurrence since at least 10,000 B.C. It appeared on the oldest coinage in India, on images of Buddah in Japan, and on Greek and Roman figures of the Great Goddess.
On artifacts dating from the thirteenth century B.C. onward, the swatika has been found in Asia Minor, Greece,China,Persia,Libya,Scandinavia,Britain, and Iceland. It was still used as a magic sign in Europe up to the beginning of the Twentieth century.
A swastika with arms pointing clockwise was generally requarded as a Solar emblem. A counterclockwise one (sauvastika) represented the moon, night, and the feminine principle.
The Swastika was much used in Medieval church decoration and heraldy, where it was known as the croix gammee, fylfot, gamma cross, or croix cramponne (“hook cross,” German Hakenkreuz) It was adopted by Hitlers Third Reich on the supposition that is was a “pure Arayan” sign. This was not true, although a variant eight -armed swatika had long represented German anti-Semitic secret societies like the Vehmgericht. A twelve tailed German swwatika appeared in magic books as a victory charm.
Oh what one can learn when one seeks out truth

Oh, what one can learn..
I guess that the article should have read: “Four young Sanskrit scholars decorate Nordhoff with feminist symbol.” Sorry friend, hatred and ignorance cannot be ameliorated by sophistry. Personally, I like the Museum of Tolerance suggestion, as well as the restitution one.

although OWOCLWOSOT brings fascinating folklore to the arena – it still means ‘death to all’ in my not so humble opinion.

That may be true “Oh what” but I’m sure the young men in this instance were not using it for its intended purpose.

Dude, I don’t care if cavemen used to pick their teeth with swastikas, you can thank Hitler for revamping the swastika and using it as a symbol for hate and death and that is what it means to me.

2 Oh what one can learn-
In as much as I did enjoy the history lesson on the much maligned symbol, also often used in native american culture I’m told- less historically inclined folks like myself, interpret it as one associated with a German/Jewish psychopath bent on the total destruction of the Jewish Race. And when you add the theft of the flag from the Jewish School and posting it at Nordhoff, well common folks I think get the message.
Think of it this way; there are certain words in the English language which have more the one meaning.
Take A$$ for example- it could refer to an animal- a beast of burden, OR the more common useage, a portion of the human posterior. OR how about Bit#h. A female dog or a very disagreeable female.
The salient point being, take the whole context into consideration in forming what the event symbolizes.

Nothing happen to the kids that vandalized Villanova because they came from “good” families that could afford good lawyers. It will be interesting to see what sort of justices these kids will face.

It seems unfair to give the name of the 18 year old kid. The Villanova vandals names were all kept out of the paper even though some were over 18.

It can’t be considered a hate crime since it didn’t happen on private property, and no individuals were singled out. Now if a group shuch as Blacks, gays, Whites or what ever were and treatening statements were graffitied then it would be a hate crime.Either they were high, stupid, or both and were just acting like so many ” Based energy” motivated people. Or they were briliant and know the law and if caught couldn’t be charged with a hate crime. My question is why live a life on a negative vibration, rather than a positive one. If your a parent take all of the “Based” , violent, angry, and poluted influences from your childerns lives and get them involved in some community service and see what happens. I know alot of low income families in the valley that have childeren that are a great joy to be arround, and alot from wealthy families that are the opposite. Manners and values do not know social distinction, but it is the distiquished that have the values.

The Villanova vandalism was on private property, but no hate crime was charged. So what’s up with that O-Tay?

from the VC Star 10/22/08Nine Ojai Valley teens were arrested Thursday on suspicion of felony vandalism: Ryan John Drury and Gregory Kiddie, both 18; six 17-year-old boys; and one 16-year-old boy, police said. Identities of the minors were not released.
anonymous 12 Mar 10 at 10:32 am – wrong! these boys were arrested and now have a record
anonymous 13 Mar 10 at 10:06 am – wrong! you can see those over 18 were named
anonymous 15 Mar 10 at 7:55 am – wrong! a statue was defaced, every pigeon should be charged with a hate crime according to your logic
anonymous, you just don’t seem to get tired of being wrong, and you have single-handedly turned ‘ignorance’ into a point-of-view. Please think about something more than your agenda, before you type.
